Cathal Brugha Swimming & Water Polo Club

Liam Goss RIP

Some very sad news has reached us in that Cathal Brugha lifelong Member Liam Goss has passed away.  Liam was all of our uncles, a gentleman in every sense of the word and a true inspiration to longstanding Brugha members such as Joe McAvoy, Phil Kelly, Brian Murphy, Ciaran McGurk, Jim McCormack, Tony Brown, Denis O’Neill, the Hanna family, the Donnelly family, Charlie McGlinchey, Gerry O’Neill, Wally Clarke and many many others, all of whom, will have very fond memories of Liam and those camping trips to Achill Island in his Volkswagen Beetle and seeing Liam ‘break the ice’ on Christmas morning sea swims at Bangor

Liam had a kind word for everyone he met, he had ambition for all of us and encouraged all of our young players to be successful, both in water polo and in life itself.
Liam will be sadly missed by everyone at Cathal Brugha and the entire water polo community; may he rest in peace.

We send our sincere condolences to Liam's wife Agnes, to his daughter Elaine, to nephew and Cathal Brugha stalwart Paul Goss and to the entire Goss family circle.
